Welcome to Minikota Swedish Vallhunds
Hello from Minnesota!
We have fallen in love with the Swedish Vallhund. We have been active in showing them in conformation, and hope to move onto performance in the future. Our dogs also get the chance to practice their herding abilities with the goats we own. Our dogs are a part of our family and live in our home. We are lucky to be owned by such a great group of dogs!

Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family. They are started on housebreaking, crate training, and leash training before going to their new homes. We temperament test the puppies at 7 weeks to try and match them with the most appropriate family. They will have their eyes checked at 8 weeks by an ACVO ophthalmologist. Puppies are started on their vaccinations, vet checked, as well as microchipped before leaving here.
We strive for health and temperament, and of course, overall quality. Our adult dogs have had hips checked with PennHIP and eyes checked annually with CERF. Prospective owners will be screened. Our pups will be guaranteed for health and temperament and placed with a contract. Pet puppies will be placed with limited registration and a spay/neuter agreement. Show pups will be co-owned and must be shown.
